Currently have a JD 410L backhoe in our shop and connected our TEXA system up to it. There were codes in the TCU (transmission control unit). I see the only module that TEXA directly connects to is the ECU, which is great, but it sure would be nice to be able to connect directly to other modules on the machine. I have used the software a lot this past year and it has worked good for most engine diagnostics on off road heavy equipment. I have been able to code new injectors and troubleshoot problems which has allowed us to not have to call in another dealer for these repairs. We sell a huge amount of used equipment so we connect to a lot of different brands of machines.

Is there any real difference in quality between manufactures? Seems like JD 410, CAT416 and Case 580s are basically the same. Is like the difference between Fords, Chevys and Dodges? Or is one brand significantly better than the other?
