While we recommend using the Nexiq USB Link 3, Diesel Explorer Off-Highway will work with all datalink adapters that are commonly used with other aftermarket and OEM software. For machines with a Cummins engine without a 9 pin connector, a Nexiq 3 pin cable will be required to hook directly to the engine ECM.
The Diesel Explorer for Off-Highway equipment currently covers light diagnostic work on John Deere and Cummins engines. This software will continue to add coverage for manufacturers like CAT, Perkins, and Isuzu in the coming months.
