Information on DTCs

Read and clear faults on most commercial vehicles and some OHW equipment. Read and clear faults on trailer ABS modules with a PLC adapter. Read and clear standard OBD2 codes for most automotive vehicles.

Diesel Health Report

The Diesel Explorer Application can also automatically send reporting directly to the cloud and Diesel Laptops Diesel Health Platform. You can view all of your shop's diagnostic scans in one place on Diesel Health (separate Diesel Health subscription required).

Component Information

Here you'll see a list of all the modules that the adapter and software are picking up. You can also find information about these modules including manufacturer, serial number, and part number.

Basic/Live Data

The Basic / Live data tabs will show you tons of vehicle information that is updated in real-time including coolant temperature, boost pressure, accelerator pedal position, and more. With a Basic subscription you get access to a basic list of 26 of the most common data. With a Professional subscription, you get access to 100's of these parameters, the ability to filter and search them, as well as minimum and maximum holding values for each live data parameter.

Vehicle and Trip Data

Here you can view static parameters such as fuel economy, total vehicle hours, and total distances. You can choose to view these parameters for the lifetime of the vehicle or for a given trip.

Built-in Reporting

Diesel Explorer has a built-in reporting feature that prints to a PDF format that includes Engine Data, DTCs, Components, Total Vehicle Data, and Total Trip Data. Vehicle inspection capabilities allow users to mark / draw issues directly on the report before printing. Plus, users can get a customer signature directly on the computer / tablet before printing. If there is a failure to connect while printing, Connection Troubleshooting will allow users to troubleshoot connection issues.

Diesel Explorer will work with all datalink adapters that are commonly used with other aftermarket and OEM software, including the Nexiq USB Link.

GODSEND for a small public school bus barn !!!

I use this on a small fleet of 22 school buses with a variety of power plants and drivetrain combinations ...
4 are Roush cleantech 6.8L V-10 behind a 5110R
Of those LPG buses, two are in an E450 cab and chassis & the rest are in a conventional school bus platform for SPED routes with a wheelchair accommodation/lift.
the other 18 buses are from the manufacturer BlueBird uses a variety of Cummins power plants from a 2006 model year to the newest bus in the fleet which happens to be a 2021 model year ISB 6.7 liter. the software works with a variety of Allison transmissions from a Gen 4 2000 series to the GEN 5 3000 series. overall I am very impressed and hope to leverage my success so far to purchase more hardware/software from diesel laptops!

Great to test connection

Fair price for a great product.

I have been using diesel explorer for a little bit now and I have to say that this program is great for a multi manufacture diagnostic tool. It is intuitive with a good layout, it has great scanning speed when connected to the Nexiq link 3 data link and it has the added bonus of double clicking on the fault code to pull up diesel repair and go direct to the diagnostic steps. This program is versatile and budget friendly which is not only great for a start up but also very useful for any HD garage. I highly recommend Diesel Explorer and Diesel Repair. Thanks to both of these programs I was able to diagnose and repair two Freightliner Cascadias with two different after treatment issues and have the correct diagnostic steps.
