In the latest episode of The DL, Diesel Laptops Founder and CEO, Tyler Robertson, is joined by Richard Bishop, Principal at Bishop Consulting, and Forbes.com Contributor. Together they discuss electric vehicles, alternative energy vehicles, and autonomous driving.
For more than 30 years, Richard Bishop has been involved in the area of connected and intelligent vehicles, including cars, trucks, and robo-taxis. He sits as a chairman on the American Truck Association with TMC Study Group for Automated Driving Study. He's also an expert when it comes to intelligent vehicle systems and he contributes regularly on forbes.com, especially regarding this area.
In 2010 he co-produced a documentary called The Thinking Car which is regarding crash avoidance systems. He's also worked at the federal level, managing the USDOT’s program for in-vehicle highway automation research and development. In addition, he established the National Automated Highway System Consortium. Richard also established some international groups as well and is still involved in those councils.
